Expanding Horizons & Resources
Looking at the Global Fund for Children website, I was impressed with how much work they do for those around the world that truly want to help children grow. Realizing that they are able to find people that wish to help and then are able to find funds to give them so that things can actually be moved along is impressive and so important for the children and families around the world. Investing in organizations that start up as small groups can lead to them becoming larger and more widespread in their regions which helps in the long run because they have a longer reach to help more children in the end.
The other website I looked at was Zero to Three. "Our mission is to ensure that all babies and toddlers have a strong start in life. At ZERO TO THREE, we envision a society that has the knowledge and will to support all infants and toddlers in reaching their full potential" (Zero to Three). It's something that many people don't realize but from birth to age three, many of the connections that children make will help form them as they continue on through their lives. It's why I love working with the 18 month to 2 1/2 year olds at my job. I know that I'm going to leave a lasting impression on them that will carry throughout their lives. It's incredibly important and I'm looking forward to learning more about them as the class continues.

The Global Fund for Children is a wonderful organization. This was the first time that I've heard of it. I like that they partner with people and organizations in the local communities to make a global impact. This is one organization that I plan to support financially.
